Grateful Dead - Dave's Picks, Volume 34 (Jai-Alai Fronton, Miami, FL. 6/23/74) / Dave's Picks 2020 Bonus Disc.

Limited edition, 3 CDs representing the entire concert of June 23, 1974 at the Jai-Alai arena in Miami. A fourth disc, available only through a Dave's Picks subscription, contains a groovy chunk of the night before (June 22) at the same venue. POSSIBLY UNNUMBERED, or POSSIBLY NUMBERED edition! I had the bad luck of a delay in this much-anticipated Dave's Picks release from my subscription. They agreed it looked sketchy, and sent me out a replacement. Here's where the ambiguity comes in: before I got around to unsealing and listening to the replacement, my original order showed up, totally randomly and still not reflected in the tracking info. And so I opened and listened to that one. The reason I can't tell you if this set is numbered or not is because I would need to unseal it in order to find out. The bonus CDs are packaged in such a way that they cover up the back panel of the'basic' retail 3-CD set. Like most numbered-editions, though, Rhino is known to produce unnumbered copies precisely for replacement orders, or promo copies etc. Some people specifically collect these unnumbered copies.

I have received a few myself due to other mishaps with Dave's Picks over the years. When they are not titles with a bonus disc, this is obviously easy peasy to spot. So, I cannot guarantee whether or not this will be a numbered copy or not.

Probably in the top 5 for me.
