So, this really forces you to hear the 1971 Before & After! - or, should I more properly say... While Pigpen wasn't with the Band (for the obvious health-related reasons) during the 11/17 New Mexico Show - he then rejoined them by the time the 12/14 U.

Of M - Hill Auditorium Show arrives! For really' Historical' purpose & Enjoyment! - you get to hear the Rip-Roarin'!!

Late-'71 Grateful Dead unit playing " With & Without " " Without & With "! Pigpen all within the Same! As I like to call it myself - the " Keith-Fresh " Grateful Dead Era! Or, as I guess you could also call-it the... Donna herself actually' cornered' Jerry in Early-1971 to " Tell-Him " that Keith!

Was " The Man " - and with Live throw-downs like these? Just thinking back here for a second - can you kindly " Zone-In " to how the 11/14/71 TCU! Way back in like 2010 - when Those! - well, here you have it - really...

For lack of any really better way of saying it. " to how Your-Jaw was " Dropped!! When you listened to Disc 2 of the 11/15 Austin Show?

Well, better get ready to put Your-Jaw back-down-there... Of this brand of - ahhh... - with Phil Lesh showing no fear at all to play along... And too, let's not forget either... And yep, you bet - as a 28-Year Old!

Garcia sure doesn't mind That! Seriously, as these are like Fender Strat Guitar Clinics!! - very different, than say a Jimi Clinic! But, in so-many-ways - just Equally-Important!

It is like you are Reading! It just so-feels like you are part of it - while it also feels like no one can steer it? -- it's just Playin' In the Band!!!

And too - let's keep in mind as well that This! Show right-here is the 1st! And, on the flip-side - it's only something like the " 10th " Dead Show in Michigan. That's a pretty-big difference & especially in 1971!

For a San Francisco, California! The Dead only ever played 5-Show Ever! In New Mexico, with this 11/17/71 Show obviously being the 1st!

Well, while we've all heard the " Ann Arbor " Show in some " Moderately-Decent + Form " & especially once the DAT Era! But, as for the 11/17 " Albuquerque " Show? Now That-One was just-about Nowhere! I mean I heard it " Once " in my whole-life prior to this DP # 26 - and the Sound-Quality on the tape I had? Well, it was like " 2-Thumbs-Down " - just one of those For Historical' Listening' Purposes - Only!

And this Dave's Picks 26 Version! - is an " Entirely-Different " Ball-Of-Wax!

" 1971 " on these Sets - and reading them... It hardly-even tells you a Thing!

- other than things like... Oh Look - they played Run Rudolph Run!

Because as pretty-much every Grate! Dead fan well-knows - in This! Era - reading Sets usually does no-good. You've just gotta go " Old School " - Roll Up Your Sleeves! - Lean Back in Your Easy Chair!
